Description
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
• Describe what gender analysis is and what it means to advance gender equality and inclusion in the digital sector;
• Accurately analyze and interpret the needs of different genders in terms of access to, and the benefits of, digital technologies;
• Apply the correct approach/techniques/principles in performing the gender analysis in real-life situations; and
• Explain and advise others (e.g., colleagues) on how to develop and implement recommendations that promote gender equality in their work.
The course will include the following modules:
- Module I. What is gender analysis?
- Module II. Gender equality considerations in digital inclusion
- Module III. A journey into gender analysis planning
- Module IV. Principles and Practices of Gender-Inclusive Data Collection
- Module V. Integrating Gender Perspectives in Data Analysis and Policy Design
- Module VI. Using the findings of gender analysis
The course on Gender Analysis for Digital Inclusion targets participants with the following profiles:
- Government representatives;
- Development practitioners and representatives of civil society organizations that are active in the field of economic and social rights, gender equality and women’s empowerment;
- Experts and researchers;
- Staff from international organizations and United Nations agencies;
- UN Women staff;
